As a purveyor of special moments, it often runs through my mind the intent and hope that those who see my work feel as if they are present in that moment in time. When I was younger my father would often watch documentaries on public television and I happened across this clip. Even though it precedes my existence some 30 plus years I can't help but feel as though I am present during this moment. Sitting there in the audience with other enraptured fans gazing upon the G.O.A.T, Marvin Gaye. But even more spectacular and just as inviting as Marvin's smooth voice are the images that move across the screen that help illustrate his song..."what's going on..." a timeless track that till this day still resonates on soo many levels. But I list this as my inspiration because I desire to mesh genuine, authentic visual moments in time with soul-stirring music just the same.
